International EPCM require a Cost Manager with Civils/Infrastructure experience to work on a World Cup 2022 project based out of Doha. This position will be considerd on a marrital status residential position or single rotational basis. Salary will be in the region of £100 - £120k with benefits dependant on whether the role is taken as residential or rotation.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Project Controls Manager with responsibility for the overall cost control and reporting of costs against the programme budget.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead and manage a team of Cost Specialists
• Developing and maintaining estimating and cost control and reporting standards and procedures
• Preparation and maintenance of the project cost break down structure, budget and integrated cost report and cashflow
• Establishment and maintenance of a program cost benchmarking database
• Analysing and reporting on Consultants and Sub Contractors cost reports and cashflows
• Prepare independent risk analyses of Consultant and Contractor cost reports and cashflows
• Preparation of monthly and weekly reports
• Preparing and making presentations
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
• BSc in related subject or equivalent experience
• 15 years post graduate experience
• Sound knowledge of all engineering and commercial aspects of major civil and infrastructure projects including roads, bridges and utilities
• Experience in conceptual estimating, cost planning, financial accounting, expenditure profiling, cost reporting and forecasting costs at completion
• Ability effectively monitor and analyse cost, identify trends and recommend corrective actions
• Experienced user of MS Office, advanced MS Excel user and Primavera Contracts Manager
• Excellent report writing skills
• Previous experience in the Middle East is an advantage
• Fluent English both written and spoken
