Senior Planner/Scheduler, Contract, Dublin
Scope / Role Description
This role is for a Senior Basebuild Scheduler/Senior Planner, Primavera P6 with greater than 10 years’ experience in the construction contracting arena.
Proven experience of project schedule management, overseeing the development of project schedules, owner representative in performance management of project team
A proven track record of scheduling for claims avoidance & forensic schedule analysis.
Specific R&R's
The following is an indicative but non-exhaustive list of specific R&Rs for the role:
" Maintain overall milestone program / project schedule
" Maintain overall project trades resource histograms.
" Develop detailed project schedule for client team activities
" Review A/E and CM contractor planning/scheduling capability (tools, processes, people)
" Review and approve detailed A/E and CM critical path schedules (including validation of logic ties, assumptions, durations and resource allocations)
" Ensure co-ordination of A/E and CM detailed schedules with Intel team activities
" Validate A/E and CM approaches to measurement and reporting of progress against schedule; consolidate progress reports as necessary for Intel senior management review, including preparation of appropriate project schedule indicators.
" Work with A/E and CM schedulers, review and agree impact of project/scope changes and ensure same are incorporated in overall project schedule / progress measurement system
" Work with Project Cost Engineers, develop contractor productivity indicators and monitor same as a leading indicator of potential schedule delay and/or contractor claims
" Maintain accurate schedule / performance data to protect Intel in event of contractor claims
" Assist in project "what if" analyses'
" Become part with Construction Integration Team (CIT) and attend CIT meetings. CIT schedules the integration of Tool Demo, BB, PSSS, Commissioning, Utility Matching, Tool Install (TI) and Operations scopes of work.
Qualifications & Skills
A BS degree in Construction Management or Engineering is preferred along with 10 plus years’ experience scheduling in Construction environments.
This position requires an in depth knowledge of Primavera and data management and an understanding of typical construction sequencing and logic.
Candidate must have proficiency in a windows based environment and software (Word, PowerPoint, project, advanced excel and access). They are expected to hold experience working in a fast paced environment with multiple customers & stakeholders.
This position is for a leading international contractor that works on projects across all sectors. This particular role will focus on new build and refurb on a large manufacturing scheme. The role will be based in Dublin and is expected to last for 12-18 months.
