We’re working on behalf of one of the UK’s largest and most successful construction firms, who are looking to recruit a Project Planner to work on water projects for a major infrastructure client. Increasing workloads and projects moving into the implementation phase mean that they are now looking to engage a Project Planner to join their existing team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-renowned and highly professional organisation.
Working from their regional office in East Anglia, your role will be to develop existing plans into fully-integrated delivery schedules, incorporating aspects of process engineering, civils, M&E and commissioning services. You will also be responsible for updating, monitoring and reporting on programmes as they move through various stages of development.
To be considered, you’ll need to meet the following criteria:
- proven background in project planning, within the UK civil engineering sector;
- knowledge and awareness of the ECI (Early Contractor Involvement) method of project delivery;
- ability to communicate well and elicit information from project stakeholders at all levels;
Water experience is sought after, but not an absolute requirement.
You will likely be qualified to degree level in civil / process engineering or a related subject, but again this is not essential.
The position is offered on a freelance basis at c. £28-£30ph (ltd co) for an average 9.5hr working day. Applicants seeking permanent employment will also be considered.
