Senior Planning Engineer - Worldwide Projects
Logmor Projects International Limited is exclusively searching for a well seasoned senior planning engineer to work for a very well established contractor to manage and troubleshoot on various projects throughout the MENA region.
This opportunity will be for a senior planning engineer that has excellent experiences working for a main contractor on international multi-discipline major projects. You must possess a well developed technical background, with special emphasis on project planning and control, and be capable of advising project managers and other senior staff on scheduling matters. You will be degree educated in Civil Engineering, Building, Construction Management or similar from a recognised university.
The successful Planning engineer will be working within the construction support department reporting directly to the Senior VP of Construction Support and Quality Management, your time will be divided between this office and site visits primarily to the Middle East, but also within the Companies span of operations worldwide. Visits to this clients JV partners offices in Europe, America and the Far East is also required from time to time….Just be aware that frequent flying is to be considered a routine part of this excellent opportunity.
The Senior Planning Engineer must be able to establish and maintain communications and relationships with all the company personnel, clients, engineers, JV Partners etc and must be persuasive without being overbearing in addition to consistently professionals correct & Tactful. With all the above you must also be able to achieve tight and onerous deadlines, be computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft “word” and “excel” also to project management software such as Primavera P6 or similar.
This opportunity and its primary responsibilities for the senior planning engineer is to provide all planning services required in the preparation of tenders and proposals, which will generally include all the planning processes and documentation as applicable to those required at project award stage, prepare, produce and secure all necessary approval of the contractual Programme required in the stipulated period following project award. This will include Engineering, Procurement and Construction Schedules and associated support information including technical narratives, manpower, plant and material resource loading data, weight factoring and progress monitoring data, and cost and cash flow data. Also you will perform follow-up assignments for projects as required, including participation in preparation of Extension of Time Claims.
