2 x Planners or Assistant Planners – Permanent – Build & Construction – Asta Powerproject & MSP – Surrey and Hertfordshire – Salary up to £48,000 + package
I have been retained exclusively by a reputable international contractor to assist them in securing the services of 2 planning engineers to work on build & construction projects up to the value of £70 million in the South East of England. These roles have arisen due to an extremely high increase in tenders coming through the door and an increasing success rate with winning tenders. There is also a desire to grow and expand the team to help the business to move forward and sustain their competitive position in the construction market place.
On offer with these positions will be a competitive salary, company car or car allowance, health care, pension, life assurance, profit share/bonus and sponsored education allowance. Each new recruit will be coupled with a mentor and given a 6 and 12 month career development plan that will set out a list of tasks to complete with a target of promotion and a salary increase at the end of each period.
The Role:
- To prepare detailed tender programmes
- Liaise with local public and clients directly
- Present to project teams and potential clients
- Pre-Construction planning at stages as early as B and C
- On site planning and delivery for schemes in the South East
- Offering advice and mentorship to juniors and others within the project team
- Monitoring, production and updating of complex planning programmes
- Some involvement with Earned Value Analysis
- Use of both MSP and Asta PowerProject software
- Undertaking site visits
The Candidate:
- Minimum of 18 months planning experience within a recognised UK contractor
- A background working on tender programmes or on construction sites
- Will have experience with the use of Asta Powerproject and MSP (not essential but desired, applicants who are specialists in Primavera will not be discounted)
- A relevant degree of HNC/HND qualification is essential to be considered
- Will have the ability to work well both in a team environment and on own initiative
- Will be personable, driven, technical, have strong written skills and must be well presented for when presenting to clients
- Local candidates are preferred by the client and a UK driving licence is essential based on these locations
- A valid UK visa and work permit or UK residency is essential for applicants as these vacancies are of an urgent nature
