Planning Engineer

My client a world class EPC contractor require a planning engineer to work on multi million £ oil and gas projects based out of an Aberdeen office.

As the project planning engineer you will be reporting into the lead planner and responsible for the following:

• To assist the Lead Planning Engineer for the weekly delivery and update of accurate planning data clearly showing all project deliverables dates, agreed priorities and durations.<?xml:namespace prefix = o />
• To review plans and provide Weekly Planning Exceptions Reports to Project Managers and Lead Engineers.
•  Provision of accurate planning information to the Lead Engineers to allow for work prioritisation, scheduling, reporting and resourcing.
• To assist the Lead Planning Engineer in interfacing with client planning engineers to ensure Seawell and Client plans are aligned.
• To assist the Lead Planning Engineer in developing and maintaining plans to allow management of logistics interfaces and construction POB.
• To assist the Lead Planning Engineer for baseline planning, progressing and forecasting work-to-go and production of associated planning reports, including gantt charts, ‘S’ Curves and manning histograms.
• To assist the Lead Planning Engineer in the issue of both external and internal planning data to meet requirements as stipulated by Project Manager and Engineering Manager

To be successful within this application you will need to demonstrate the following experience:

• 5-10 years planning experience
• oil and gas background
• P6 experience
• Degree Qualified - ideal but not essential
• Abiliy to work in Aberdeen

This is a role offered on a contract or permanent basis of up to £50 p/h or a salary of £45,000-£50,000 dependent on experience.
