Planning Manager - Lancashire
A Planning Manager is required by a leading main contractor business based in Lancashire – on offer is a basic salary of between £50-60,000 per annum plus a benefits package comprising of car / car allowance, pension, healthcare, medical cover etc.
The Planning Manager will be responsible for a wide range of engineering and construction projects across a variety of sectors such as civil engineering, land remediation and generation, water infrastructure, marine engineering and flood and coastal protection. Managing a small team you will be responsible for both the pre-construction and construction stages of projects within the business.
To be considered for this opportunity candidates will need to be able to demonstrate the following experience. Senior Planning Engineers who are seeking the next step on the career ladder and who have the attributes to carry out a management position within planning will be considered:
- Minimum 7 years planning experience.
- Experienced at both the tender and contract stages of civil engineering projects in the UK.
- Main contractor experience.
- Competent use of current programming software, preferably Primavera P6.
- Knowledge of construction techniques and outputs
- Effective communication
- Contractual awareness
