A highly respected brand in the international systems engineering markets is seeking a Planning Manager to lead a team of planning professionals in a functional and project based role.
This challenging and rewarding role is to be based in London where you will be working on projects UK wide.
The Role
The key purpose of the role of Planning Manager is to take ownership and lead all the planning and reporting activity on specific parts of a lucrative rail engineering upgrade programme. You will lead and inspire a team of 15 planning professionals ensuring quality and best practice is performed for each task.
Responsibilities
The Planning Manager will be responsible for the development of manpower loading reports for specificproject activity. You will monitor the allocation of budgeted resources to each activity and update site schedules with actual hours expended and estimated time to complete. You will become involved in aspects of cost loading, risk management and will need to be comfortable offering consultation at senior management level.
Requirements
In order to be considered for this role all applicants will need to demonstrate and possess the following:
Ideally Degree qualified or minimum HND
Previous experience in a Planning Manager capacity or, currently a Lead/Senior Planner looking to make their next career move
Experience of working on complex £multi-million programmes within the aerospace, defence, rail, energy or nuclear sectors
Experienced in using Primavera P3e
