We are now seeking Planners to work on a variety of Oil and Gas projects based out of Aberdeen.



The Planner will be working within the client’s project delivery team, interfacing with client’s contractors, sub-contractors and other consultants providing planning expertise within a client environment. They will on the client’s behalf verify and validate the data within the contractor’s submitted programmes principally using Primavera P6.  The planner will be required to interrogate contractor’s programmes to ensure the programmes represent the scope of works require by the client and the sequence and schedule of works is logical and achievable within the constraints of the agreed contract.  The planner will be required to authorise baseline and progress programmes on behalf of the client; verifying that the various project schedules are integrated and representative of activities required to complete the delivery of projects within a portfolio of work from initial conception through to delivery and close out.  Close liaison with the project team will be required to produce periodic reports based on the contractor’s progress submissions.  In the event of claims made against the client for extension of time and compensation, the planner will be required to investigate the claims using recognised delay analysis methodology, this will also require contractual knowledge to interpret the contract clauses accurately.



The Planner will be the single point of contact for all aspects of planning communication so a high level of interpersonal and communication skills are required.



The Planner must have significant construction planning experience within Oil and Gas and / or similar environment, founded upon practical site based experience.  Proficient in the use of all current planning tools and methodologies including; Primavera, MS Project, critical path analysis, earned value reporting and delay analysis.



It is also essential that the Planner has a well developed understanding of Risk and Change Management techniques and the interpretation and representation of risk in programmes.
