A successful international construction group seeks an experienced Senior Cost Planner to work within the design and build team based in Auckland, New Zealand with an opportunity to work on large design and build projects in New Zealand and Australia.
This is a senior leadership role where applicants must demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both within the Group and with external clients and suppliers. Applicants must possess:
- First class cost planning abilities across all building elements;
- The ability to work from concept design detail;
- Strong measurement and pricing skills across all trades;
- The ability to be a high level source of support to the design mangers providing cost effective solutions and ideas;
- Excellent technical construction knowledge and value engineering capability
- An understanding of all procurement methods;
The successful applicant will have at least 10 years experience in a consultancy or contracting environment as a Cost Planner, in New Zealand and/or Australia; together with relevant tertiary qualifications (Quantity Surveying) preferred and a working knowledge of Cost X Systems.
