We have just been engaged by a well-known company, a large, international firm providing engineering and programme management services to clients in the infrastructure markets. Increasing workloads and projects moving into the implementation phase mean that they are now looking to engage a Senior Planner on a freelance basis. Working from their regional office in Berkshire, South East England,and with occasional visits to sites, your role will be to develop existing plans into fully-integrated delivery schedules, incorporating aspects of process engineering, civils, M&E and commissioning services. You will also be involved in producing tender programmes, albeit to a lesser extent. You will supervise and manage one to two Planners as part of your team.
To be considered, you’ll need to meet the following criteria:
- proven background in project planning, within the UK water sector;
- experience in integrating subcontractor schedules into a master programme;
- ability to communicate well and elicit information from project stakeholders at all levels;
- strong understanding of the way water projects are put together on the ground;
- demonstrable track record in using Primavera P6
- some degree of managerial or supervisory experience.
You will likely be qualified to degree level in civil / process engineering or a related subject, but this is not essential.
Rate of pay will be in the range of £300 - £350 a day according to experience, on a ltd co basis.
