Project Planner on Contract or Permanent basis (London to Birmingham)

Central Programme Management Ltd is a Project and Possession Planning consultancy, dedicated to improving the railway.

We are currently recruiting a Project Planner on either a Contract or Permanent basis to work for us on a series of contracts within the rail industry. The initial assignment will be to work for our client who is implementing a significant Signalling, PWay and Civils upgrade to the Railway infrastructure between Birmingham and London.

This initial role is likely to last until Dec 2012, although permanent employees will be secured on a permanent contract beyond this.

Requirements:

• Strong Railway construction background
• Produce implementation programmes from drawings
• Resource load programmes
• Review Contractors programmes
• Understand logistics of moving plant and trains
• The successful candidate will be expected to work at a variety of locations along the route and work weekends at site as required.
• Ensure safety is planned in to every weekends work.
• Experience in Possession/Train Planning would be an advantage
• Experience in Risk Management would also be an advantage

This role is only suited to UK residents with a strong railway background
