Our client is a leading contracting company with head office located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia,  and is currently involved with several general Civil Engineering, Housing, Infrastructure plus Refinery, Oil, Gas & Petrochemical projects throughout Saudi Arabia.,   They are currently seeking an Arabic/English speaking  Planning Engineer for their Electro-Mechanical Department to provide planning services in implementation of the project. Responsible for establishing the schedules as envisaged right from the project conceptual stage and for timely issue of project planning deliverables & progress reports.

 Roles and Responsibilities:

-Develop & update various project monitoring packages/ schedules, progress measurement system, project reporting systems and invoicing systems etc.

-Assimilate scope of work and conceive the project in terms of schedule.

-Assist engineering & procurement disciplines in preparing technical document

register & procurement tracking register and provide input as required.

-Timely issue of quality project planning deliverables.

Monitor the work in progress with respect to the approved schedules/milestones

and prepare weekly/ monthly progress reports.

-Review proposals from subcontractors on project execution and schedule.

-Keep PCM & Lead planning engineer apprised of the status/ constraints.

-Responsible for preparation and updating the commodity release plan/ curve.

-Identify and communicate potential schedule constraints to proposal team to

ensure bid clarifications.

-Analyze and communicate to the Lead project control engineer/ Project

-Manager on observation of any instance across disciplines for any major variance

between the actual work in progress and the approved schedules.

-Post award review the contract for schedule and commercial parameters to

validate/ compare with the original submitted documents.

-Participate in department development activities for continual improvement in

the project control system & services.

 Experience and Skills:

Must have experience in a major construction projects (Medium & High Rise Building, Heavy Industrial Plants, Medium to Large Scale Infrastructure, Oil & Gas Projects)

Having experience in Project Controls is essential.

Hands on experience on updated planning software tools such as PRIMAVERA and MS Project

Minimum experience of 5-7 years (Junior Engineer) & 7-10 years (Senior Engineer)

 Qualification:

College / University Degree (min 4 years) in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) and or Civil but have experience in mechanical / electrical planning.
