A civil engineering contractor are looking to recruit a Senior Planner to join their infrastructure division based in Scotland. They offer complete services and solutions to civil works around the UK to both the public and private sectors.
The Role
The Senior Planner will provide planning management and support to pre-contract and contract infrastructure works within the civil engineering market. The contract’s range in value from £10M to £500M and includes major road and bridge works, wind farms, railway works, clean and waste water treatment works, as well as power stations.
Responsibilities
The Senior Planner will be responsible for producing earned value analysis data in compliance with requirements, issue programme updates to clients and produce programmes and reports as required by the project team.
You will also provide invaluable support to the project and produce tender programmes. Other duties will include programme controls, project review and cost and risk analysis.
Candidate Requirements
In order to be considered for this role all applicants will need to demonstrate and possess the following:
Degree educated or equivalent in an Engineering discipline
Previous experience of multi-disciplined civil engineering projects; rail/airports
Substantial experience of programme / project management
Competent user of Primavera 6+ software
Commercial awareness
Strong team player, as well as self motivation to work in isolation
