The National Signalling and Level Crossing team is part of the Asset Management - Signalling, Power and Communications organisation. It undertakes National Signalling renewals, other HQ signalling initiatives and Level Crossing renewals. This position will be working within the Level Crossing Team. The Level Crossing team takes receipt of a robust single option from the Client and delivers level crossing renewals from GRIP 4 Outline Design to completion. The successful candidate will part of a ten person team delivering circa ten commissioning per annum. The project planner role will manage P3e schedules for each project, create cost loaded baseline plans, periodically monitor and update progress, manage contractor progress against their plans including attendance at contractor progress meetings, and provide general support to their project management team.
As an experienced Project Planner you will be responsible for regular updating and monitoring programmes for a large portfolio of work you will have a detailed knowledge of Primavera P3e and an understanding of the wider Project Management Framework.
A strong knowledge of earned value management and milestone and KPI reporting will also help you to keep control of the variety of projects ensuring that they are delivered to the high standard expected.
