Our client is a leading project management consultancy in Australia. Providing the services of project planning, dispute resolution and project management to builders and contractors is their main business. Their office in Sydney is seeking a Project Planner/ Scheduler to work in Hunter Valley, NSW. The ideal candidates will have proven project scheduling and planning experience in infrastructure projects or the building industries and be proficient in the use of Primavera P6. Responsibilities of these roles include:

  • Establishing and monitoring programmes and reporting systems.
  • Critical path programme analysis
  • Preparing progress reports including resources, histograms, S-curves, Earned Value and cash flow.
  • Training and developing junior staff
  • Liaising with clients and other stakeholders.

Requirements for this role include:

  • Experience in construction / mining industries
  • Clear, logical thinking
  • Good analystical / problem solving skills
  • Willing to lean, and take on a wide variety of tasks as required
  • 5+ years experience in scheduling and/or project controls
  • Familiar with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project planning software.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with a consultancy or contractor in a related industry.
  • Permanent Australian residency
  • Hunter based (or willing to relocate to the Hunter), and willing to work on the site in the upper Hunter for periods.
  • Have own transport
