Lead Planner
Overview:
A leading main contractor is seeking a Lead Planner to take ownership of complex London projects. If you’re the planner who ends up fixing the baseline rather than breaking it, this role will suit you. You’ll bring genuine technical planning expertise and work closely with delivery teams to drive performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, manage, and maintain fully logic‑linked programmes using Primavera P6 or Asta Powerproject
- Ensure programmes reflect buildability, sequencing, and delivery realities
- Monitor progress, identify delays, and propose recovery strategies
- Provide clear planning insight to senior management and stakeholders
- Support risk, change, and reporting activities
Ideal Candidate:
- Strong experience as a Planner/Lead Planner with a main contractor
- Proven background on complex construction or infrastructure schemes
- Advanced user of P6 and/or Asta
- Confident communicator able to challenge and influence
- Practical, delivery‑focused mindset
