Job Brief/

Purpose

  • Establish comprehensive project schedules that will be used to co-ordinate all project activity and measure project cost and schedule performance

 

 

Role Accountabilities

 

  • Produce level one and two programmes and develop level three programmes for tender purposes
  • Review contractors programmes returned with tenders and make comments that may be appropriate to support the procurement process
  • Review the detailed work schedules produced by contractors and ensure that they comply with strategic programmes the work breakdown structure
  • Produce programmes as may be necessary to co-ordinate works between packages
  • Monitor the progress of the works on site and mark up schedules
  • Input data and produce earned value reports for packages of the works
  • Support the Project Manager regarding all issues relating to schedule 
  • Liaise with Senior Planning Manager to ensure that an accurate assessment of project progress is available at all times
  • Liaise continuously with members of the planning discipline to ensure that all activities are co-ordinated and that interface issues are identified at the earliest possible time and co-ordinated within the overall programme
  • Receive contractors labour returns and compare with plan
  • Support the project controls manager in the production of detailed monthly reports to the client

Qualifications

 

  • Degree Qualified, ideally in an engineering discipline.
  • Member of Association of Project Managers
  • Thorough knowledge on PrimaVera 6

Experience

 

  • At least 5 years experience in senior planning positions producing cost and resource loaded schedules on large and complex multifunctional projects

 

Skills / Knowledge

  • Expert practitioner in Critical Path Analysis, Earned Value Measurement
  • In-depth knowledge of project management software
