P6 Printing - Bar not aligned with Tasks

Hello all

I am trying to print a programme, which has been grouped & sorted as per WBS. The row heights have been set to 35, to accommodate the long task descriptions. The bars have been set to display at row 1. I am also using a page break at each WBS level. The printout of this programme creates an alignment issue for every page where a page break is automatically introduced – this issue being that the first bar on the affected page is aligned against the task immediately underneath so that task1 has no bar drawn against it, whereas the bar for the last task is missing off the page. The next page onwards alignment goes back to normal, until another automatically created page break appears with the same issue. I have tried printing to different printers, printing to PDF, etc with no avail.

I am working on a standalone version of Primavera P6 Professional R8.1 Release: 8.1.0 using a Windows7 (64-bit) machine.

Any ideas/help that anyone could provide would be hugely appreciated.

Many thanks,

Jen.

Hi Ravindran,

1. View)Table font amd row, and change back row to 18, Try to double the Column width instead. If still want to have row at 36 than go to 2.

2. Go to View)bars - than from the table delete all bars that you would not need, keeping only that you absolutely need. Now, see how many row numbers have been selected, think there are too many rows selected.

I was unable to see your screen shot, so this is just a guess.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the reply Daniel. Are you referring to the position of text within the barchart? Yes, I have this aligned on the right with the bar. The problem I have is aligning the bar itself with the corresponding Activity Name in the Activity Table. I have pasted a screenshot below to help demonstrate it better.

Kind regards

Jen.

JR,

Check your text position to align bar with text, you have 3 options Top, Center or Bottom

Cheers,

Daniel
