Weekly Reports

Afternoon all,

Quick query re reporting in P6..... Is it possible to run a report which shows all the activities that should have been progressed in the previous period but have not been?

I.E Basically at the moment I am filtering the P6 plan to show only those activities that should be progressed in the next 7 days.  I then export this data to excel.  The following week I then import my new progress into P6 and again export to excel.  I then run a V-Lookup to highlight the variance in the 2 weeks which identifies any activities which should have progressed according to plan but has not been.   Is there anything that can do this in P6?

Appreciate any input.

Cheers,

Rob

All - Thanks for the responses.

I took a copy of the plan and assigned baseline and then imported the progress and scheduled and this showed all the activities that had slipped in the week as advised by Gary.

Rob,

After each update, take a copy of the current programme as a new baseline. (Project > Maintain Baselines > Add)

Then after the next update, make sure you have assigned this baseline (Project > assign baselines), and you can filter on schedule variance, start variance, finish variance, duration variance, cost variance, etc (View > Filters)

You are looking for a delayed activities which is not started.

> Try to filter schedule performance index which is less than a value of 1.

Rob,

You are looking for pending Starts. Activities that should have been started but not started.

Use a filter,
1. Activities in the baseline that supposed to start before a certain date and activities that are not started.

Hope this will help.
