Hi planners.
I have a question about "Update Progress" tool in P6. I have a project on time but out of budget, so I want to update it using "Update Progress" only dates, not actual amount of resources because of resources must be update manually. However, "Update Progress" updates both at the same time, dates and actual resources amount
Is it possible to use this tool in order to update only date but not actual resources amount?.

Auto compute actual are meant for Earned Value cost based on the actual progress. it does not compute an actual cost. for this, you have to key in manually and then only you will be able to identified which activities is over budget.

make sure that "Auto compute actuals" option for each resource is checked off.
