I am finding a problem that i had set a baseline for a project work programme. now when i am updating it with new data date the baseline milestones are also shifting. i want the baseline milestones to be shown as separate not shifted. can anyone help me out please ?

After creating your Baseline Schedule under menu item, Project / Maintain Baselines, you then need to assign it to a ‘slot’ using menu item, Project / Assign Baselines. Until you do that, the baseline dates that you are seeing come from your own Planned Start/Planned Finish dates. Those dates will ‘’drift’ as your unstarted activities ‘drift.’ Good luck!
