Dear All,
My project is created as a baseline schedule in terms of activities but when I came to insert resources in resource dictionary, the project calendar I created is not default for the resources, how to solve this problem?

Depending upon Resource requirement you can use it on other activities as well.

When you add resource in resource window then follow these steps,
1- Add resource
2- Goto Units & Price tab
3- Here give the effective date from where this particular resource will start work

Dividing the activities may solve the problem
1. Excavation- 5 days with excavator
2. Remaining activities-10 days with other resources.

Thanks guys for reply, it is more than clear but I have got question is that:
Act. Excavation(Task Dependent) takes 15 days and project calendar is assigned. I assigned resource "excavator" non-labor resource to work on this act. in addition to other resources but I do not need the excavator to work 15 days I need it for example to work 5 days only, how to manage this issue?

Hi Moutaz
Be very careful when mixing calendars between tasks and resources - get it wrong and you durations and critical path will be quite irregular.
Unless there are specific circumstance do not put calendars on resources - myadvice is delete them all now.

But shall I change the calendar for resource one by one or there is a way to make the resource calendar as default.

If you want the activity calender to be followed then keep all activities as "task dependant" (default).In this case no need to change resource calender because your activity is not resource dependant.Still if you want to use a one calender for both activities and resources and want to define it then add new calender in "Global calender" window.from there you can use a calender globally.
