Just remove all constriants.

You wil have 0 float and your forecast woul be your earlydate (Including project must finish)

Hi,

What i have done is i have given must start dates and revised the project and i have applied the actuals and also updated the project as per the status , but could not able to make the total float as ZERO when i gave it for review to my Reporting head he is admant on me making the total float ZERO and wants it but i am not able to make

Will there be any problem if i have a negative Total Float or Positive one &  what difference does it make in the program because we are only using the sheduling part. And how can i come out of this Float part.

Please help me out

Best Regards

Hi Labeeqh

The only way you can set up a genuine zero total float programme is to have only one cascade usiing only FS links.

In most construction programmes this would be pointless.

Why not just take out all the links and set each task to Must Start On.

If you try to make the adjustments described by Jash (which would work) your programme will be worthless for time control management.

Even worse it will be blatantly obvious that you have fiddled the programme.

Float is a valid part of a properly prepared programme and should arise naturally from the logic - don't try to hide it.

Best regards

Hi Labeeqh,

If you really want to maintain your schedule with zero total float, use a series-connection of activities with FS relationship only. Another way is that if you have different sequence/link of activities with morethan 0 TF, then assigned a lag to activities equal to its total float to make it critical.

Cheers,
