Dear Readers,
I'm working with Primavera P6 v7 and have a recurring issue. Every week we receive (via email) updated XER files from our suppliers containing circa 20,000 activities. We cannot use the enterprise function of Primavera for reasons I won't go into here as that is another issue. The copy of the plan we hold we have applied various user defined codes to therefore we use the import and the "update existing project" function. The problem we have is that if our supplier has significantly changed his plan by adding (or more importantly) deleting activities then the import does not reflect the new version. We want to keep our user defined codes but have the new version of the plan. Can anyone help with which boxes to tick in the "default configuration modify" option ?
