P6 to MS Project

Hey, trying to export a P6 project to MS Project, every time I run through the process it says completed but with errors, please see log, the information in the log isn't particularly helpful and I can't see where I'm tripping up.

Does anyone have experience of this process?

Hey Andy

I'm using the latest version of Primavera 6.7 and trying to dump a Project into MS Project 2003. I was using XML 2002/2003.

I'll have a try with your suggestion and see how I go. Worst case scenario I can easily copy the P6 information in Excel, then copy it across into MS Project, but that means reinserting all my activity relationships and reorganising all my activities which I wanted to avoid doing.

Primavera and MS Project aren't 100% compatible with each other when you exchange data between the two, so it's always worth checking the results!

Which format of MS Project export are you using?  MPX?  XML 2002/2003?  XML 2007?

Depending on what version of P6 and what version of MS Project you are using, you could use the project link functionality, this allows a project to be 'checked out' for updating/managing in MS Project and then checked back in once you have finished?
