good day I did a program on promavera 6.2
the activity codes are all out a sequence what can i do to get the numbers in sequence ie A1010,A1020 and not 1020 1030 1040 etc

hello every one:
i am learning primavera p6v7 and is installed in my machine. i am trying to create a sample project and am having difficulties in how to load the dollar costs with out applying resource codes. i want to directly write the dollar amounts in the actual costs column. is it possible they way i am doing? any ideas please?

I second what Ronald said. i have been using P6 for years and removing an important functionality like making an EPS isn't acceptable. You are better off downgrading to P6v7.

thanks for your reply, the import/ export (even for the previous versions of Primavera) is still valid in P6 v8. however after seeking more info in the internet, I reached the same conclusion that the EPS modification has been removed from the "P6 professional", I don't know why oracle had made that!
I was wondering if a ‘rumor’ about P6 Version 8 (both web & client/server) is true. Did Primavera remove the ability to save and restore XER backup files in this release? After accumulating 10 years of XER backup files, are we supposed to just throw them away? I would appreciate it if a P6 Version 8 user would confirm this.
Building an EPS is located under the Admin Menu. I take it that you are using the client/server version of P8 Version 8. Are you aware that Primavera has decided that you don’t need any of the Admin Menu features? In Version 8, you need to run the web version to access these (including cost accounts as well as the EPS.) Primavera removed these features from the client/server version and called the result, “P6 Professional”. Kind of a sick joke, isn’t it?
Take my advice and ‘go back’ to Version 7, Service Pack 3 of P6. It may not have the name, “Professional” tacked on to the end but all of the features are there.
