I have an issue whereby upon mporting a contractors programme into our p3e it is ignoring the role dates assigned to an activity
for example a activity has 1 resource attached with a finish date 13th Dec 2010 and 3 Roles attached with a finish date of 31st Jan 2011 (all driving the activity dates) however the activity finish date is 13th dec.
I have the text file which accompanies the xer sent from the contractor and this confirms that the finush date on the activity should be 31st Jan
im am using p3e version 5.0 - the contractors programme is also version 5.0
any suggestions?

Just an assumption: With the import you create a new project. Then some parameters for this new project are taken from the default project.
I would check if "drive activity dates by default" is unmarked - view Projects --> Resources. If not unmark and for the activities as well - view "Assignments".
