Folks, who's got a clue how I can solve this problem... Thanks

  • I imported a ver 6.7 project file into ver 6.2; it imported ok
  • I tried to import some layout files (.PLF file) and got the error message  ‘[QT_DAY=5]’ is not a valid floating point value with an option to 'OK'
  • Clicked 'OK' and P6 was shut down
  • Restarted P6 and got error message: Exception EConvertError in module PM.exe at 0000AC7E. ‘[QT_DAY=5]’ is not a valid floating point value
  • Uninstalled and reinstalled P6 on the computer and still got the same error message: Exception EConvertError in module PM.exe at 0000AC7E. ‘[QT_DAY=5]’ is not a valid floating point value

Thanks Kas.

But the problem now is not the P6 version. When the prolem occured, I uninstalled and re-installed P6, but was still getting the error same message.

Hi. Instead of importing the 6.7 file. Open it in Notepad and change the version number to 6.2. It is the top line of the file when you open it in Notepad. Save the file and then just open it normally as you would any other 6.2 file and see if that corrects the problem

Regards,

Kas
