Depends on the requirements with respect to logical relationships after the activities are moved to the new project.
1st method, Copy the schedule and paste it then simply delete the activities not required out of each schedule.
2nd method, Create a shell project. No WBS, no activities, just a new empty shell under the appropriate EPS. Then open the original schedule and the new one. Go to the WBS layout, select the WBS elements you wish to move, highlight them, move the cursor to the left hand side of the WBS structure untill it changes, then simply drag these WBS elements into the new project. This should maintain the logic.
