Activity % Complete = Performance % Complete = to any Percent complete type selected.
Activity % complete dont have summary but Performance % complete have.
If depends how you want to update and monitor your progress. Make sure you maintained and assigned baseline first.
If you use Physical % Complete every thing needs manual update (i.e. remaining duration, At Completion if different to budget)
If you use Duration type combined with Fixed Duration and Unit or Fixed Duration and Unit/Time it will synchronized the update of Remaining and At completion.

You can take Physical Completion %
Because you’re not done resources load program. If that
program resources loaded means you can take Activity%
completion, you will get correct % Completion of your project.
This only Vertical Project this suitable,
