Methodology Management (MMDB) is a separate database from Primavera Management. You have to export it to xer and import it back to Methodology Management database in order to save it to MMDB. You can set Methodology type to the following:
1) Base methodologies- provide the basic infrastructure of activities performed during a project that can include WBS, OBS, expenses, risks, resource and role assignments, and work product and document assignments. A project plan uses one base methodology.
2) Plug-in methodologies - solve specific project needs and can be "plugged in" or linked to base methodologies as needed and are specialized topics that may or may not be required by a project. A project plan can combine zero, one, or more plug-in methodologies with a base methodology.
3) Activity libraries - use to store and edit commonly used activities and their related information. An activity library is a set of reusable tasks or activities that can be defined once and reused in any number of methodologies as needed.
To link Plug-In Methodology to Base Methodology select Methodology-> Methodology Link, under plug-in window (on the right screen) click […] to select Plug-In methodology and select WBS then click Create Link.
Note: Methodology type can always change from any of the 3 types under Methodology-> Methodology Properties-> Methodology type drop down box.
