Hi Niek,
Sounds great, I look forward to getting my copy in a few months.
Thanks and keep planning.
Kevin.
The P6 windows client has got quite a few useful enhancements:
This is not an official list, but just a few examples.
- Bucket planning
- Role limits per period
- Hide the calculations on grouping bands
- Narrow the vertical part of the grouping bands
- Copy baselines along with a project
- Export project baselines
- Multiple curtains linked to layouts
- Layouts linked to projects + export
- Reflections of projects for what-analysis
- An owner field for activities, to enable non-assigned resources update the progress in the timesheet module
- A number of good security (profile) enhancement
- SQL2005 Express instead of MSDE
Nothing shocking, but certainly very useful for the bigger environments. Ive been playing with P6 for a couple of hours now and it feels good!

Kevin,
P6s enhanced features apparently include:
Web-Based project management
Highly interactive Gantt charts and screen layouts
An intuitive interface
Powerful dashboards
Extended reporting and analytics
I asked primavera why durations were worked out from entered hours spread across the number of hours per time period in the admin preferences? They replied and said this can be changed as part of a enhancement request.
In summary, I cant see the benefits of upgrading to P6, as the main claims are improved web-integration and bucket planning. I use neither.

Hi Kevin,
To date, I really dont know.
I got invitation from Primavera for some webconference but I dont find it beneficial.
I prefer to stick with P3 and Excel 2003.
Cheers,
Joseph
