Hussain,

It is quite apparent that as many days I am getting delay, I can avail that.

Ony thing that before schedule with holiday period we should make sure

that there is some delay or not, and after schedule how it was affected.

Regards,

Sunil.

Sunil,

You will only be entitled to extension if delayed task is on critical path i.e. delay is not being absorbed by available float. If flaot available is 4 days then you will get only 5 days extensions as in this case completion date/deliverable is being dalayed by 5 days only.

Hi Sunil,

It depends on the status of the project before the commencement of the 9 days holidays. May be you are already in delay by that time.

If there is no delay in your part, show to client the updated schedule indicating the 9 days of extension from the Contract completion date. If there is delay from your part (for eg: 30 days), still you will get 9 days EOT, for the rest you are responsible.

Hi Sunil,

Update your schedule just before the commencement of 9 days holidays declared by client. Keep a copy of it, with the calendar showing the 9 days as normal days.

In the next step, change the calendar for the said 9 days (as holidays). Schedule it (F9). See the difference.

May be you will work couple of days in the said 9 days, but still as per SCL, IN MY UNDERSTANDING, you are entitled for an extension of 9 days(due to the disruption from Client side).

Comments are welcome.

Hi Kannan,

I applied the same logic, only thing I want to segregate the delay part of the project caused by the disruption from the client side

Thanks

Sunil.
