Hi
Ronald- many thanks and thanks to all for your valuable advise
I published an article about this very subject in the AACE International Journal in 2003 called, “How to Befuddle a College Professor (without Really Trying).” You can read it on-line at http://ronwinterconsulting.com/published.htm. Good luck!
Dear Shahul,
This is the formula used by Primavera:
Option 1 EF = ES + D − 1.
With kind regards,
Samer
Reference: Oracle P6 Rel 1 Ed 1
Shahul,
I am no senior, hence this is the answer of a novice.
As you have said, both formulae gives the same result, then there isnt any advantage over the other. Option 1 is used when the 1st event numbering is set to 1 while the other has been set to 0.
Cheers,
Bill
