PMP Certificate

Several items need minor correction:

1. The institute does not have to be approved by PMI for the education to count but the course content does. PMI approved R.E.P.s have already gon through this step. If you use someone else PMI needs the course transcript.

2. The minimum 35 hours of training has to be a formal course that measures attendance and participation, this can be a remote/distance education course, classroom or blended. You must have a certificate of completion stating the hours you attended for the course to be considered by PMI.

We offer an email-based course http://www.mosaicproject.com.au/pmp-courses/mentored/, other institutes have online courses and others offer classroom courses.

Formally approved remote/distance learning courses are available and approved by PMI but be careful!!!! The course needs to be approved by PMI and offered by a PMI endorsed R.E.P. to be sure the hours are going to be accepted by PMI. One example is at:  http://www.mosaicproject.com.au/pmp-courses/

I have other opinnion ... there is a lot of e-learnning or home curses (like PM-Prepare) that can allow anyone to pass in the exam ... i know many.

Like i said ... just study hard (PMBOK, books, online simulates etc.).

Many curses on PM area are approved by PMI ... and these curses do not have to be a PMP prepare.

Self study will not allow you to inter the final exam and you have to get recommendation from any institute approved by PMI.

Hi Karim,

I think Ashraf is right. However, PMI do offer a web based study course; it’s a series of modules you can complete in your own time under the title of An Applied Framework for Project Management. You could take a look at that and see if it’s any use, and maybe contact PMI to find out how it ties in with the PMP Certificate.

Up to my knpwledge, you have to attend PMP course in one of the approved institutes by PMI in order to gain 30 points and get your training code NO. which can qualify you to appy for the final exam.
