In version 8.2 all tool bar areas are customizable which allows the user to show all tool bar buttons or only a select few.
To customize any tool bar in P6 version 8.2, right-mouse click on any toolbar open and either check / uncheck a tool bar menu or navigate to the CUSTOMIZE menu at the bottom of the drop down menu itself. After selecting the CUSTOMIZE command in the drop down menu a Customize dialog box will appear with three tabs showing at the top; TOOLBARS, COMMANDS and OPTIONS. Each tab allows the user a different level of customization for the tool bar which is to be edited.
The TOOLBARS tab shows which Toolbars are currently selected, which Toolbars can be selected and if necessary allows resetting of the Toolbar layout. The COMMANDS tab simply shows which Commands are available under the Command Menu drop-downs at the top of the screen. There are two additional categories in this tab; Menus and Unassigned.
Menus simply show the Command Menu Drop Down Listings and Unassigned shows which Hot Keys that are not currently assigned to a Toolbar.
The last tab in the Customize dialog box is the OPTIONS tab, which allows the user to adjust several items within the Tool Bar layout. The default settings are suggested, but custom settings can be adjusted in this tab of the dialog box.
