Store Period Performance

Dear All,

I have a schedule in Primavera P6 that which the Periods were never stored. We update this schedule on a weekly basis, and now we are in week 135. We are having issues with some stakeholders. The progress curve, which uses de P6 data, has variations on the later weeks, due to the variations in units distribution for "in progress" activities.

The question is: What would happen if we start to use Store Period Performance from now on? Would we have to manually fill the past periods?

If so, is that any workaround we could use to make this job easier?

Regards.

is you started now would get one big dump of cost during this update

you can manually fix this

the work around is to use it from day 1

this is how to edit store period performance

To edit stored actual units or cost for a past period

If you have already defined the financial period,
Select Edit User preference
Then select Application - at the bottom under column level- select the
financial period for which you want to edit the past period performance of
any specific resource assignment-then close
Next go to the Activity mode
Click the resource tab
Right click on resource detail & customize-add columns from "Financial
Period Value"- Press ok-
Now in the Details window you can edit the past performance actual there.
