I have my own licence as an independent contractor, I was really miffed today to find that Oracle now no longer support an upgrade to P6 8.3.1 like they used to.
All they do is point you to the files to download. They used to log on to your computer and walk through it, that's what I thought I was paying my two hundred odd quid a year for. I want to use the product, not read through reams of inpenetrable release notes.
Anyway, does anyone know a resource in the UK that will do this, I note that Oracle causally tell you that this will of course cost extra and it’s nothing to do with them.

Thanks Paul, it's not just me then! Yes eventually I got to talk to someone and they installed it like they used to.
BTW I notice this year inc VAT we are now paying a nice cool £277 squids. Just paid mine, and even their website is difficult when you try to pay. They should take a glance at Amazon for guidance!

I have recently been in a similar situation as you as a Consultant with my own standalone P6 Licence and I share your concern regarding the poor service from Oracle Technical Support.
Having raised a Service Request I was persistent in pursuing it to a satisfactory conclusion and eventually engaged in a Conference Call with an Oracle Expert. Although he did not control my PC he could view my screen and guided me through a resolution to my problem.
I would try again with Oracle; you’re paying them an annual fee and deserve a professional service. Finally, I recently upgraded to P6 v 15.2 and found the process quite straight forward. There are some excellent notes of guidance on the Oracle Website and also PlanAcademy.
