I built new schedule and i start distributing the Resources, The Type of Resources used for this schedule as below:
1. Manpower ( Type of Resources are Labour)
2. Equipment (Type of Resources are Non- Labour)
4. Cost ( Type of Resources are Material)
The consultant want to follow the Labour & Nonlabour Unit percent complete % in monitoring the schedule so i cant add the cost as a Non labour.
so i should make the Cost as a Material, and when i do that i discover the P6 distribute the cost in wrong way, my project start on 26 Oct 2016 when i districute the cost for an activity started date 26 October 2015 with a duration of 60 days and completed on 26 December with a budget material cost as 1 million, when i check budget cost curve i found that the 1 millino distribute for October 2015 and nothing distributed on November & December 2015.
Then i change the resource curve to linear curve but the situation still same, so i make new resource as non labour and i districbute the cost on it and it distributed linear on all the duration of 60 days for Oct, Nov, Dec 2015.
Any onr can help me why the material cost not valid for distribute the cost and how i can solve this problem...?

in your material resource what is your deault units/time my quess is that it is 0 and we know that anything divided by 0 is still 0 so it is not spreading this resource over anything its just dumping it on the firect day or at 0
change the default units/ time to 8 then you can apply any curve that you wish
