I am replacing a computer for a Primavera P6 PM user, and trying to get his data moved over. From my understanding if we just export to XER file there are some components that will not transfer, such as baseline and historical data.
I am proficient in MSSQL and other SQL flavors, and I'm very good at googling up information but have been beating my head against this Oracle XE engine for several hours and I think I am actually further behind than when I started.
Can someone either spell out or link to very comprehensive instructions on backing up and restoring to new hardware? The oracle XE installs are identical on both computer. I've run the backup script and attempted to transfer what I believe is the backup file to the new machine, but the instructions are all incredibly vague.
