Hi,
By giving Priority to that task you can avoid the duration problems
ive send the sample project to your mails. I wrote some about project but If you need further explanation please tell me.
ersin,
if you want to give Critical Chain method a try, downlaod Project Scheduler 8 from www.sciforma.com
its rather easy to learn, and much safer than MSP.
cheers
First thanks for dealing with my problem Im working with MS Project 2003. I tried everything but I couldnt solve the problem and I know that its unsolvable with MS Project (without extra software)its easily seen that MS Project is deficient in leveling but its available solving the problem with critical chain consepts so i used prochain as an extra software for MS Project. Ill send you the project as soon as possible thanks again.
Ersin,
which version of MS Project are you using?
Have you set up the project START date or FINISH date (Project, Project Information)?
Task default constraint is ASAP for a project set forward, ALAP for project set backward
MS Project is not too good at leveling resources in a backward project. I had the experience where a backward project was leveled toward the end of the project instead of the beginning.
Send your file to [email protected] if you want.
Regards
Im not so good at this levelling thingy...
- HAve you set "deadline"?
- Maybe the setting for each activity?
Need to test to check the reasons via the file...
