Hi All,

All the information contained in MS Project can be exported to excel\word. Once the end template has been produced. The raw data can be used to Automate this proces, to produce EVM, WBS Forms, Estimate Request Forms etc..

Yes you can directly analyse time scale data into excel. Just activate the Analysis Toolbar and use the command "Analyze TimeScale Data in Excel" and follow the wizard

Hello Chris,

If the root problem is getting the charts and reports you need from Microsoft Project, I humbly suggest that you take a look at our software - DecisionCharts for Microsoft Project.

DecisionCharts now has over 90 bundled charts that provide managers with a live, interactive view into their projects (it even has multi-project capabilities). There’s no need to copy and paste into excel - If we don’t have the exact chart or report you need, we can create it. (We do this all the time for customers).

Please take a look at our website and contact me directly with any questions - Helping managers get the charts and reports they need from Microsoft Project is we do - I would be happy to help!

Regards,

John Garay

Exporting is neither the best nor the only way . Better use VBA to talk with both programms. Do you want an example ? May be I finaly can make somebody enthusiastic for this method. (also available in P3).

Hi there,

if your spreadsheet has a large nbr of rows, the best if not the only convenient way is to export to Excel.
