Ours is an item rate contract .Any item which are not mentioned in BOQ is a variation item with a fixed mark up margin. Now Client provided us electricity @ one point.Charges & maintanance are born by us.Now Client insist us to share the electricity with another Contractor .The client is reimbursing the electricity charges but not ready to give any margin.Whether we are entltle for any Margin for this item sharing of electricity.

Hi Sankar

I presume you are talking about temporary electricity for construction.

Obviously there is more electricty passing through your metre so you are entitled to the contract margin on the total supply.

It seems the Employer is trying to escape paying the margin to the other contractor if he had provided two connections.

That is unfair.

Best regards

Mike Testro.
