Eot

Hi all,

I have the following questions?

1. Can an increase in quantities entitle contractor to EOT?

2. Can a contractor lose his right if there is a delay in design drawings wnen he decided to start construction on his risk?

3. Which is the best time impact analysis used in EOT?

Hi Abdallah

1. Can an increase in quantities entitle contractor to EOT?

Yes provided the programme is resource modelled based on the original contract quantities - remember that there may be some decrease in quantities also.

2. Can a contractor lose his right if there is a delay in design drawings wnen he decided to start construction on his risk?

If the Contractor started early before the design was issued for construction then he will lose the first part of any EoT up to the programme date for issue of IFC design.

3. Which is the best time impact analysis used in EOT?

Immediately after the event occurs.

Best regards
