Hi Moshin
Philip has given correct answer. Moshin that deduction shall be depend on the method of measurement which adopted in the contract or price preamble.
If the contract does not mentioned elsewhere then all quantities should be measured as Nett is a best practise.
mohsin,
for info:
POMI = Principles of Measurement International
SMM7 = Standard Method of Measurement 7th Edition by RICS
You have to buy the book for more elaboration.
Peace!
Dear satish
Yes you got it right Running metre and Square metre anyways the Area after deduction is 17000 sft excluding ligts ,the area of ech tile is 4 sft the area of each light is 4 sft x 150 nos = 600 sft, whether this area of 600 sft should be deducted from the total area of 1700 sft ? The grid area and tile area are measured separately In your reply you said the void area less than m2 (in which context with whole area or localised )can you please elaborate on this aspect and The abbreviations you used for measurement SMM7 and POMI please expand it .
Regards
Mohsin Farooqi

Ex- in POMI, if the void area less than m2 will not be deduct
