AECOM provided the project management services of the multi-billion dollars New Hamad Port Project, Qatar Emiri Naval Forces Base and Qatar Economic Zone 3. • As a key member of the Planning Department, there is heavy involvement in the development phases of the project and is the sole responsible for the development of the over-all project schedule – design concept, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and hand-over. • Apply mixed approaches to project development thereby allowing for a more organized monitoring and control. • Build the outline cost plan and detailed resource and logistics planning based on the CPM (critical path method) from concept design stage. • Tender – prepare project control procedures and specifications • Tender evaluation • Review contract documents for each construction package, evaluate risk on the activities, and advise the Engineering/ Project Manager of any deficiency and mitigation approaches. • Review and approve/ comment on the design, procurement and construction schedules as submitted by the contractor, and ensure that recommendations are in place. • Ascertain contractors’ compliance to the client approved project schedule requirements by intensive coordination, monitoring, and reporting. • Review contractors proposed site organization, planners’ CV’s and report evaluation to the Engineering/Project Manager. • Participate with PMC staff in reviewing the close out reports as submitted by contractors. • Perform roles standard to the work flow assigned for Senior Planning Engineer.
