SENIOR PLANNING ENGINEER – ASTUTE CLASS SUBMARINE PROGRAMME
• Scope Activities from plan utilising drawings and model info and link to level 3 activity in Marine Life Cycle Catalogue.
• Being actively involved in IWT or other meetings required to attend. Taking minutes and co-ordinating actions where required.
• Updating of required fields in detailed planning systems.
• Production and distribution of look ahead work scopes.
• Ensure timely closure of work orders.
• Check and report on material availability.
• Identify and agree scope of work increases.
• Preparation of norm based estimates for agreed work type.
• Alignment of manufacture activities.
• Ensure all progress updates are imputed into the relevant planning systems.
• Ensure timely management of both stop work and resumption of work notices.
• Release work orders and issue ITRAC tickets.
• Conduct sample on board audits to ensure accuracy of progress reporting.
