I looked at ProofHub features and did not find anything about automatic scheduling and resource leveling.
If this tool is the best then others are even worse.
Tool selection depends on the user requirements. Here most people are involved in managing large and complex projects and need the tools that can help them to optimize their schedules and budgets and analyze project performance.

Just discovered this post with valuable tools and software. There are a lot of tools to try and I just came up when Googling "task management software" which is a complementary software for project management.
I know some here that use both task management and project management software. I find it very hard to use them both so I had to cancel down to only 1 software to manage my projects with my team.
Take a look at Hitask as one of the best task management software in the industry. It's great for small teams who like to approach projects with the GTD mindset.
Hope you guys like it.
Have a great day!

Gain ultimate control on your projects by setting Custom roles and defining different access levels for your team members based on their responsibilities.
Track down every activity done by people in your account, be it task completion, file deletion or event rescheduling, to know who is accountable for what.
Forward important emails to your account to add project requests, report issues sent by the clients, or ask quick questions that need to be worked upon.
A project management software is considered good if its offer you all the flexibility and all the capabilities to:
• Break down any business strategy into multiple portfolios and organizations.
• Dynamically prioritize, fund and staff initiatives and actions according to strategic targets, but also available budgets and resources. • Plan work and schedule your resources in a standard or agile mode.
• Dynamically control execution and progress on several axes and identify the potential gaps with the original targets.
• Realign periodically strategy and execution. Support any Changes in the Organization. With Triskell PPM-Factory business users can easily configure and re-configure on the go, Triskell PPM-Factory, to encapsulate strategy and business processes in a unique multi-organization and multi portfolios environment.
This issues can haldled by using softare that is designed for agile use. You can refere any Agile based project managemet tools as you can easily assign project, can create cards or you can also link resource with particular cards and project. Even you can Visualize your project goals and estimation of work. My friend also using Agile project management tools that working best for him as he handiling 37 team memebr with different location.
I have used Trello, Redbooth, Assembla and Asana, but currently, I am using TaskQue. I especially like TaskQue because of its Queue Feature. Furthermore, if you individually want to track your performance, I think Wunderlist would work perfectly for you, otherwise, if you are managing a team, then go for TaskQue.

2. Resource planning: through its color-coded report you can see the workload of each of your team members thus avoiding both under-utilization and overloading
3. With Easy Projects you can assign unlimited number of tasks with any levels of hierarchy you need
4. The software allows for easy communication among team members with the ability to save the discussion for those who were not present at the discussion. It also allows for sharing any kind of files.
6. Time tracking: time tracking is very flexible: choose whatever you prefer, single entry, weekly submissions or a built-in timer with a stopwatch functionality.
Thank you for your support and valuable comments. After a long research I have shortlisted Project.net. In case if someone has used this system please let me know your review or experience of this system.

It is a collaborative tool with configurable reports. It has automatic report generation feature, as far as you booked any resource against any project, you will be able to see reports (utilization, forecasting and financial). Not only this, you can extract the data to MS Excel and much more. To evaluate its features you can opt for free trial or personal web demo.

David, if your project management software does not support critical path analysis, it is difficult even to call it "project management software", no matter how colaborative, customizable for reports, etc. it may be. Yet even if it does, everything is relative:
If it claims to support critical path analysis but does not compute critical path drag, it is lacking crucial functionality.
If it supports critical path analysis but does a poor job of resource bottleneck identification and/or leveling, that is a major flaw if you are in any way resource limited. (And what project isn't!)
Allow a member of the team to update yourself with the new building technology frame work known as BIM [Building information Module] in the direction all schedule and operation from start to finish is given a face lift in first hand before execution of the physical structure. This will help your team in collaboration and information link up well communicated. Thanks.
