How to show planned / as buit / and

Similar to the last post but i need a step by step guide in the following scenario.

I have inherited a project with an Asta easy plan programme ( I don't usually use Asta) The project is delayed and I want to show the Planned as a baseline that does not move,, then the actual as built,, then I want to highlight relevent evenet that have caused delay..

Any help please :) thanks

Hi Duncan

First you need to upgrade the easy plan to v 11 - easy plan does not show criticality so is useless for delay analysis.

The other thing is that if you have both easyplan and v 11 on the same computer they will

corrupt each other so you will nee to put the easy plan on a data stick.

If you can save the easyplan as an XER file you should then be able to open it in either PowerProject or P6.

When you have it as v 11 then you can create a baseline of the original programme using the File - Baseline Manager.

You can then create an as built baseline using the method described in the other thread.

Both baselines can be in the open view together - in fact I think the upper limit is 9 baselines in one view.

You can now impact your events on the live tasks.

Best regards
